Visual Generation
Generate on-brand ads, banners, and images – without bothering a designer. Use default formats to quickly craft beautiful visuals for different channels.
Getting Started
How do I create a visual in Arcade?
You can start from three places:
Arcade Library → Start with AI → New Visual (top of Home)
Arcade Library → New Visual
Existing Arcade demo → Share → Generate with AI → Visuals
Then choose your source:
Arcade — We use your Arcade’s copy, screenshots, and flow to generate branded visuals.
Prompt — Describe what you want to create and optionally upload your own image.
Why does Arcade call them “visuals” and not “images”?
Visuals include text, backgrounds, screenshots, layouts, CTAs, and brand styling.
They’re more than static images — they’re marketing-ready creative assets.
What are Source, Brand Kit, and Guidelines?
When creating a visual, you’ll select:
Source — an Arcade or a prompt
Brand Kit — controls fonts, colors, logos, and style
Guidelines — a short prompt describing the goal (e.g., “LinkedIn teaser,” “Feature announcement,” “Ad creative”)
Once selected, click Generate to create two starting options. Choose one to continue into the editor.
Templates & Editing
What templates are available for visuals?
There are four designer-approved templates:
Showcase — best for social media
Convert — best for ads
Capture — best for announcements
Inspire — best for testimonials
Each template adapts to different formats (square, landscape, portrait, etc.).
Can I switch templates later?
Yes. You can change templates anytime from the right-hand side of the editor.
How do I edit elements in my visual?
Select a visual to open the right-side editing panel. You can adjust:
Template — switch between Showcase, Convert, Capture, Inspire
Logo — toggle on/off, pick light or dark variants
Background
Choose a brand color
Select a brand image
Upload your own
Generate with Avery (AI assistant)
Text — rewrite manually or regenerate with Avery
Screenshot — pick a step from your selected Arcade or upload your own
CTA — change label and styling (when the template supports CTAs)
Shadows — stylistic depth controls
All changes update instantly in the preview.
Why do I see two generated visuals before editing?
Arcade creates two stylistic starting points. Pick the one closest to what you want — everything is fully editable afterward.
Managing Multiple Formats
Can I create multiple formats at once?
Yes. Visual projects support multi-format creation.
Click Add Visual to generate:
LinkedIn post square
LinkedIn landscape
Instagram square or story
Facebook sizes
X (Twitter) formats
TikTok formats
All versions appear in the left panel and the main canvas.
How do I delete or rename a visual?
Use the three dots on any visual to rename or delete it.
You can also delete from the bottom of the editing panel.
Exporting
How do I export my visuals?
Click Export (top right). If you have multiple visuals, your download will be a ZIP containing all formats. You can also download a single visual by hovering over it and clicking Download.
Are visuals exported in high resolution?
Yes. The editor preview is compressed for speed, but exports are high-quality PNGs.
Brand Kit & Behavior
How does my Brand Kit affect generated visuals?
Your Brand Kit controls:
Colors and gradients
Fonts
Logos and icons
Background images
Corner radius and stylistic patterns
Voice and copy tone when generating text with Avery
Changing your Brand Kit affects future visuals — not existing ones.
If I generate or add a new background with AI, where does it go?
Any background generated with Avery is automatically added to your Brand Kit assets for future use.
Troubleshooting
Why can’t I find an older Arcade as a source?
The source list shows your 20 most recent Arcades. For older or archived Arcades, contact Support
Why is visual generation taking longer than usual?
Generation usually takes around one minute. Delays can occur during peak usage. A visible progress indicator is coming soon.
Why does my visual look slightly different during editing?
The editor uses a lower-resolution preview. Your exported files will always be full-quality.
