Media Library

The Media Library is your central hub for reusing and managing assets across your Arcades. Use it to add new steps, replace existing ones, pull from your brand kit, or search stock images and videos —

What does the Media Library do?

Where do I find the Media Library?

Open any Arcade in the editor and look at the right-hand editing bar. Select the Library icon to open the Media Library panel.

The panel has three main zones:

• Section tabs (Recent, Favorites, Demos, Videos, Visuals, Brand Kit, Stock)

• Middle: Assets for the currently selected section

• Bottom-left: Your Arcade's current dimensions and the Upload media button

How is the Media Library organized?

The Media Library is split into seven sections, accessible from the top-left:

• Recent — Assets you've used most recently

• Favorites — Anything you've hearted

• Demos — All your interactive demos, grouped by workspace and folder

• Videos — Video assets pulled from your Creator Studio

• Visuals — Image assets from your library

• Brand Kit — Assets from your configured brand kits

• Stock — Searchable stock videos and visuals

What can I do when I hover over a media item?

When you hover over any asset, four icons appear:

1. Heart — Add the asset to your Favorites section

2. Delete — Remove the asset from your Media Library

3. Plus (+) — Add the asset as a new step in your current demo

4. Recycle — Replace the step you're currently editing with this asset

Once you click Add to new step or Replace current step, the asset is added to your Arcade automatically.

How do I replace a step using the Media Library?

You can swap a step for a new asset in two ways:

1. From the editor: Delete the current step and drag in a replacement.

2. From the Media Library: Hover over the asset you want and click the Recycle (Replace current step) icon.

Where can I see my Arcade's dimensions?

Dimensions are shown in two places inside the Media Library:

• On each asset: The resolution is displayed alongside the thumbnail (e.g., 2732 × 1536)

• Bottom-left of the panel: The size of the Arcade you're currently editing

Matching your Arcade's dimensions when adding new assets helps prevent cropping and layout shifts.

Can I upload my own images or videos using the Media Library?

Yes. At the bottom-left of the Media Library, click Upload media to bring in files directly from your computer.

This is helpful if you want to:

• Add high-res screenshots produced outside of Arcade

• Reuse recordings from other demos

• Incorporate externally produced visuals, graphics, or video clips

What's in the Recent section of the Media Library?

The Recent section shows the assets you've used most recently, so you can quickly grab something you just inserted elsewhere.

What's in the Favorites section of the Media Library?

Any asset you've hearted appears here. Use Favorites to keep your go-to assets one click away. To unfavorite something, hover over it in Favorites and click the heart icon again.

How do I find a specific demo in the Demos section of the Media Library?

The Demos section shows every interactive demo you have access to, organized by workspace:

• Just me — Your personal demos

• Shared workspace — Demos shared with your team

• Folders — Each workspace expands to show its folders

To narrow down:

1. Click the workspace dropdown to expand it.

2. Click the folder dropdown to narrow further.

3. Select the demo you want.

Once selected, the asset is added to your Arcade automatically.

How do I copy a link to a demo from the Media Library?

Hover over the demo tile in the Demos section and click Copy link in the top-right corner of the tile. This gives you the demo's link without adding it as a step.

Where do the videos in the Videos section come from in the Media Library?

The Videos section pulls from the video assets in your Creator Studio. Each video shows its dimensions, a heart icon to favorite it, and an option to add it as a new step. If a video isn't appearing, confirm it was saved to Creator Studio rather than uploaded as a one-off.

What's in the Visuals section of the Media Library?

The Visuals section works like the Videos section, but for image assets. You can heart a visual, see its dimensions, and add it as a new step.

How do I use the Brand Kit section of the Media Library?

The Brand Kit section pulls from your configured brand kits:

1. Use the dropdown at the top to choose a brand kit.

2. Browse the available images.

3. Heart any asset to add it to Favorites, or click the plus icon to add it as a new step.

How do I search stock images and videos in the Media Library?

In the Stock section:

1. Click into the search bar.

2. Type what you're looking for (e.g., office, analytics dashboard, team meeting).

3. Heart any result to save it, or add it as a new step.

Does deleting an asset from the Media Library remove it from existing demos?

No. Deleting from the Media Library removes the asset from your library, but it does not remove it from demos where it's already been used.

What dimensions should my uploaded media have?

Arcade automatically crops all steps to match the dimensions of the first step in your Arcade. Check the bottom-left of the Media Library panel to see your current Arcade's size, and upload assets at or near those dimensions to avoid unexpected cropping.
