Getting Started

Custom links let you create multiple shareable links to the same Arcade, each with its own settings (name, language, security, expiration, etc.). You can track performance separately for each link.

  1. Click the Share button.

  2. Under Sharing externally, click New link.

  3. Enter a link name.

  4. Adjust settings (language, password, expiration, etc.).

  5. Click Create.

Yes. You can update the name, security settings, expiration date, or other options at any time.


Permissions & Access

  • The default link is always created automatically. You can set it to Anyone with the link can view or Only those invited.

  • Custom links let you create additional links with unique settings.

Go to the default link and set permissions to Only those invited. This ensures only your custom links remain active.

That link stops working immediately. Viewers will see an error page.

For true 1:1 secure sharing, use Only those invited and Invite to collaborate (i.e. private share) instead of custom links. This is also the best way to share with a whole specific domain.

Custom links are great for tracking groups (for example, “Acme Corp link”) and their interaction with the Arcade. Custom links have better and more specific insights compared to private sharing.


Security Settings

How does password protection work?

If enabled, viewers must enter the password of your choosing before accessing the Arcade.

What does Require email do?

Viewers must log in with Google or Microsoft to access the Arcade. This verifies their email address and allows you to see them under Authenticated Viewers in Insights.

Does Require email work in embeds?

No. It only works on Arcades opened from a share page link.

Yes. The link expires at the end of the selected day (Pacific Time). After expiration, viewers see a message that the link has expired and should reach back out to you to request a new one.


Notifications & Insights (tracking)

You can choose to be notified the first time someone opens a specific custom link.

In Insights, scroll down to Custom Links. You’ll see metrics such as:

  • URL used

  • Authenticated viewers (if applicable)

  • Last opened date

  • Views, plays, and average completion

  • CTA clicks

  • Average play time

How is Authenticated Viewers different from Audience Reveal?

  • Audience Reveal shows company-level data powered by Clearbit (approx. 50% accuracy).

  • Authenticated Viewers show exact individual users who verified their email with Google or Microsoft sign-in. Company details if relevant (and found) will be provided, also powered by Clearbit.


Limits & Plans

  • Enterprise plan: Unlimited custom links.

  • Growth plan: 5 custom links per user.

  • Need more? Contact us for an upgrade.

You can not go back under your limit by deleting links. (You can physically delete the old links, but once your limit is hit, you will not be able to make more — even if you delete some).


Troubleshooting

  • Check if the link is expired.

  • Check if a password is required.

  • Check if Require email is on and they haven’t signed in.

  • If the link was deleted, it will no longer work.

The default link may still be set to Anyone with the link can view. Change it to Only those invited to ensure only your custom links work.

You can also use the workspace level setting to disable to the "auto publish".


Example Use Cases

  • Send a German-language link to a German customer.

  • Create separate links for different companies (for example, “Amazon,” “Google,” “Apple”) and compare engagement in Insights.

  • Share a time-limited password-protected link for sensitive product previews.
