Customer Success & Documentation

Arcades have been used in many ways by customer success. Check out how Customer Success teams have used it in our Showcase!

Arcades can be used in knowledge bases (hopefully, you've seen that here!), technical documentation, and in one-to-one customer customer support.

Keeping Arcades Up To Date

Products change frequently, so you can always keep them up to date by updating your Arcade. To do so, you can use the "Advanced Options" inside the Arcade Chrome extension.

Product

Arcades have been used in many ways by product managers. Check out our Showcase to get inspired!

Longer term, we want to support Demo Driven Development — by supporting your product lifecycle. Demoing is not just for after the product is made. It can be a valuable moment in time for your customers to discover if your product is delivering value.

Here's a few ways to use Arcade to support product goals:

Discovering what your users want

At Arcade, we aim to have a close relationship with our customers. Whenever we ship something new, we want to show new customers what Arcade can do.

Arcade is pretty flexible as a tool, so you can always import Figma files into Arcade. You can download them as PNGs, and then upload them as new files.

Getting feedback from your customers after shipping

If you have shipped a new feature, you can get feedback from your customers by integrating it into a changelog or email. (You can see what changelog providers support Arcade here.) You can then track engagement metrics to see what users are opting into.

Using it within onboarding

A few customers use Arcade within onboarding to ensure that new customers understand how to get value out of their product.

Sales

Arcades have been used in many ways by sales. Check out how Sales teams have used it in our Showcase!

Qualifying prospects

You can use Arcade for qualifying prospects in your emails! Each Arcade has a unique url that opens into a full viewer experience for your customer. Built-in analytics will help you track engagement across your Arcades and identify what prospective customers are looking for.

Embedding Arcades in Collateral

You can also embed Arcades in sales collateral or websites to replace static sales content. Some tips to help increase conversion:

  1. Keep your Arcades short and sweet. The longer the Arcade is, the longer it will take for your prospect to get to trial your product.

  2. Add a CTA to get them to try out Arcades to your calendar booking, fill out your demo form, or use it for a free trial.

Marketers

This is a high level guide for learning how to use Arcade if you are a marketer. Arcade’s mission is to empower companies to build for the Product Led Growth economy. Right now, there’s a big gap in understanding who your users are, and when.

First, identify what your goal is. Is it to: Increase leads? Increase conversion? Experiment with new features?

Once you identify your goal, you'll go a long way in figuring out how to make the most of Arcade.

Increasing leads

There are a lot of ways to increase leads.

Increase distribution

Did you know that Arcades are interactive in Twitter?

Use the “See it live” overlay for your viewers to see that they can engage with the content. That lets users know that they can use it. Here's how you can add an overlay

Add a CTA at the end of the the Arcade in order to get people to sign up for a free trial.

The most important thing here is to look at leads holistically. It's not just about setting up CTAs, but also about overall sources of leads. Arcades, for example, can make your homepage more engaging, which in turn makes

Which leads us to (pun intended)....

Increasing conversion

There's a lot of ways to increase conversion.

  1. Design a good experiment. You need to control for other variables. This means you need to measure your current performance and then measure against that.

  2. Experiment design:

    1. Once you've identified your goal, it's useful to setup a template.

    2. Here's an example template from one of our Enterprise customers.

    3. Keep your Arcades short and sweet. The longer the Arcade is, the longer it will take for your prospect to get to trial your product.

    4. Break up your Arcades into different use cases on the page. See this website for an example.

    5. Add a CTA to get them to try out Arcades to either fill out your demo form or use it for a free trial.

Testing new features

  1. Use different Arcades for different use cases, and learn about which drive the most engagement.

  2. Add different hotspots and use our Engagement feature in Analytics to see the drop-offs.

  3. Update Arcades with new features in our “Advanced options” in the chrome extension.

A word on benchmarking

A common question that we get is "what are benchmarks for good engagement/conversion/leads or [x]?"

The reality is that it's highly dependent on your application, end customer, market, and even digital content. You are far better off to measure improvement from your baseline than to use someone else's benchmark.

That means you should look at how you are performing today, before Arcade. Then, measure what happens once you setup Arcade, and track the results closely.

The "best in class" way to measure is through A/B testing. Arcade does not offer A/B testing out of the box, but services like Google A/B test can help.
