AI & Avery
Arcade uses AI to help you generate copy, split videos, translate Arcades, and personalize the viewer experience — always with customer privacy as a top priority.
Arcade AI Features
What is Avery?
Avery is Arcade’s AI writing assistant built into the Chrome extension and soon the Desktop app. When Avery is enabled, it helps you automatically generate copy while recording your Arcade.
You can toggle Avery on or off anytime in the Chrome extension settings.
What tones are available in Avery?
When using Avery, you can select between different writing tones:
Promotional: Focuses on storytelling and highlights the benefits of each step.
Educational: Provides simple, step-by-step explanations of what is happening.
My Tone (coming soon): Allows you to define your own custom tone for a consistent brand voice.
You can choose the tone before starting your recording.
How does Avery generate copy?
When you record with Avery turned on, every hotspot in your Arcade will automatically have AI-generated text. Avery pulls information from multiple sources to create the copy:
The HTML of the element you click
Visual analysis of the page
Metadata about the page (title, description, etc.)
The URL you’re recording from
This helps Avery understand the context of each action and create accurate, helpful copy.
Editing Copy with Script View
What is Script View?
Script View is a document-style view of your Arcade's written content. It allows you to:
See all your text at once (titles, chapters, hotspots)
Edit your Arcade’s copy more easily
Work in a clean, Notion-like interface
How can I use AI inside Script View?
Inside Script View, you can click Ask Avery
at any time to:
Improve the writing
Fix spelling and grammar
Change the tone
Make the text shorter
This makes it easy to quickly polish or repurpose your Arcade without manually rewriting everything.
AI Video Splitting
How does AI help with splitting videos?
When you upload a full video to Arcade, you can use AI Smart Split to automatically break the video into multiple steps.
This is perfect for turning a longer video into a more interactive, segmented Arcade without having to manually split it yourself.
AI in Translations and Synthetic Voice
Does Arcade use AI for translations?
Yes. When you translate Arcades into other languages, Arcade uses AI-driven translation services to ensure accurate, natural-sounding translations.
Does Arcade use AI for synthetic voice?
Yes. Arcade partners with AI services like Eleven Labs to generate synthetic voiceovers for steps or entire Arcades. You can choose from a variety of voices and languages.
Arcade also offers integration with Google Voice, although it is not AI-based.
AI Safety and Data Privacy
How does Arcade protect customer data when using AI?
Arcade is committed to protecting customer data. Here’s how we ensure your information remains safe:
We opted out of allowing any customer data (text, images, videos) to be used for AI training.
We have signed agreements with all AI providers (including OpenAI and Eleven Labs) confirming that no customer data will be used for training models.
Screenshots, videos, and text you provide are never shared with or used by AI providers for their learning processes.
Does Arcade store prompts or inputs used with AI?
By default, Arcade minimizes data retention, and for enterprise customers, we offer a zero data retention option:
No prompts or AI inputs are stored.
No customer-generated data is used to train or improve AI models.
Enterprise customers can request zero data retention settings at any time by contacting support.
Is AI usage optional?
Yes. You are always in full control:
Avery is on by default and can be toggled off anytime in the settings.
No AI is automatically applied to your Arcades without the option to opt out.
You can create, edit, and publish Arcades without using any AI features if you prefer.
